Communion Chalice Celebrates Methodism

Covenant Celebrates Its 100th Palm Sunday
With palm branches, choir and percussion, and very loud “Hosannas” from the congregation directed by Pastor Kevin, Covenant celebrated its 100th Palm Sunday. As Pastor Mark noted, Palm Sunday remembers Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and Passion Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. Watch the service below.
Covenant’s Longest Tenured Pastor Returns to the Pulpit
On October 2, Rev. Bob Mongold, who served Covenant as Senior Pastor from 1988 to 2004, returned to the pulpit. Easter Egg Hunt Brought Out Lots of Rabbits and Chicks
Covenant’s egg hunt saw lots of rabbit ears (Pastor Mark included) and chick headbands scurrying through the yard and playground at Covenant. The chalice, used on June 5 (Pentecost and Communion Sunday), was designed and crafted in 1988 by Covenant member Leon (Lee) Sperow in memory of his wife Elizabeth H. Sperow who passed away in 1987.
